I was treated to this song by a very special friend a few days ago. There are many versions on YouTube. I wanted to share this one by Donny Osmond because he's a memory of an innocent childhood when I was ready to be introduced into pop music and the Easter Bunny left me my first record album, From Donny with Love.
Corny to be sure, and certainly far from what's expressed in this powerful song. Osmond takes a back seat, as he should, to the powerful lyrics. I very much appreciated being able to think about Christmas in this way this year.
